Your room is available from 3:00 PM. If you'd like guaranteed earlier access, we recommend booking the previous night as well; with a direct booking through our website, earlier check-in is often possible subject to availability.
Check-out is until 12:00 noon; a surcharge applies afterward. If you booked directly through our website, you may stay in your room free of charge until 2:00 PM.
There's a direct connection from the Main Station to the airport, taking just 10 to 15 minutes. Alternatively, every taxi or Uber driver knows the hotel — a taxi ride from the airport costs around CHF 60 and takes about 20 minutes. Even more convenient is our paid airport pick-up service: just send us a short email and we'll pick you up directly at the airport.

Our front desk is staffed around the clock. For security reasons, the outer doors are locked at 11:30 PM — simply open them with your room key card, or ring the doorbell if you don't have it with you.

The Central Plaza Hotel has 103 rooms and suites in the categories Single Room, Double Room, and Suites — many with views of the Limmat river and the old town.
Our double rooms feature either a king-size bed (160×200 cm / approx. 63×79 in) or two single beds (100×200 cm / approx. 39×79 in); some rooms offer extra-long single beds (100×210 cm / approx. 39×83 in). An extra bed can be added in some room categories for a surcharge of CHF 100 per night.
To make you feel completely at home, your room includes: free Wi-Fi, a comfortable box-spring bed, a coffee machine with coffee, and a kettle with tea bags for your own quiet moments. You can safely store your valuables in the in-room safe, enjoy your favourite show in the evening on the smart TV, and thanks to USB-C ports, your devices are always charged and ready. Once you insert your key card into the holder next to the door, power in the room is activated — and to help you sleep comfortably even on warm days, your room is partially air-conditioned in an environmentally conscious way.
Yes. All rooms are partially air-conditioned, and you can set your preferred temperature yourself via the wall thermostat. A tip for hot days: keep the windows closed so the cooling can work at full effect — and to be kind to the environment.
We don't have a classic minibar — instead, the Maximat vending machine with snacks and drinks is available around the clock on the 6th floor, or you can arrange a personal, lockable cooling compartment at the front desk (deposit CHF 40).
Your valuables are safe with us: free of charge in the in-room safe (insured up to CHF 1,000) or in the hotel safe at the front desk (insured up to CHF 4,000, locked between 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM).

The "Central Garten" is currently undergoing a loving renovation and will reopen in spring 2027 — until then, we're happy to welcome you at Central 1 or King's Cave.

Yes, a pianist performs in the evening at the "Central 1" piano bar — except in July and August, when he takes a summer break.

As standard, we change your bed linen every 2 days.
With our "Green Option," you can do even more for the environment: in the morning, when you leave your room, hang the card on the outside of your door — we'll then skip room cleaning for that day.
